Setting up an organised folder structure

Modified on Fri, 11 Nov, 2016 at 4:40 PM

A SmartPDF asset is made out of one or more PDFs and folders, that house the interactive elements, like slide-sets, videos, etc.

Start by deciding which interactive elements are needed. To stay organised, setup all files and folders under one ‘content’ folder. You then create sub-folders to organise the interactive elements that you will be adding. If you know that you will add a video, name your folder video, if you know there will be a pop-up, name your folder ‘pop-ups’

You can setup or extend this structure to your liking. Some people prefer to organise the asset structure by pages, rather than by interactive elements:

Either setup will work, and folders and files can be named, as you like.
